Helping patients to take control

Last July, on a rainy summers day, my dad was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. What I didn't know at that time was that he joined 699 other people that day also diagnosed with the condition. But what I found even more astonishing, is the small numbers of people who take up the workshops on offer from the NHS. So I made it a personal mission to change that.
